Weather this answer is good or bad, no they are not. Hollywood is probably interested in this franchise, but they are there are no current official talks about a Metal Gear project in Hollywood.

Jerk, Got My Hopes Up, Then What The Hell Is This?

For along time I have been a fan of Hollywood. I have a huge movie collection and know an extensive amount of information and trivia about movies/actors/actresses.

Every time I saw a forum making a Metal Gear cast list for a movie, I always rolled my eyes at their choices.

Why Roll Your Eyes?

Did you see Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy?
There were only about 4 or 5 big name stars in those movies, while the rest were unknowns. Every list had about 10 of these big names. There is no way you could get every single one of those people.

Well, now it is my turn. Using my knowledge and brain, oh and the internet, I was able to make this list.
